The Deck is Coming Along

Ryan has been working on the deck even through the rain. He is almost done with the entire upper deck and the stair rail. It is going to be nice this summer, with Jack being mobile, to know he is safe. As long as he doesn't decide to climb the rail.

No Pumpkins for Jack!

So the first 2 pictures are obviously of Jack being adorable. This last picture is in memory of our late pumpkin plant. RIP.
We had an intermittently beautiful day yesterday and I got all excited during one of the sunny spells and planted one of my pumpkin plants I have been growing from seed. The hope was that the weather would be nice to it and it would take off. Unfortunately I failed to take in the dog factor. For whatever reason the fat brown lab decided to breach the garden fence and take a nap on my poor little boy's Halloween hopes.
Luckily I have another waiting in the house for better weather. Meanwhile I will be reinforcing the fence.
Check out the 2 video clips below. I am noticing we take a lot of pictures of Jack while he is corralled in the high chair. Hmm, there might be something to that. Hope you all are having a great day!

Jackman!!

Jack is so awesome! He can climb windows and demolish kitchens and still have time to sing songs, dance and laugh hilariously while being tickled.

Ryan and I took him to the Puyallup Spring Fair Saturday. We saw dock diving dogs, cows, sheep, goats and border collies herding geese and numerous other sights. Jack had a great time and was out like a light on the way home. Once again we forgot the camera. Oops.

The Sunshine Is Getting Closer!

Ryan is starting on a new railing for our deck to make it safe for Jack. He found this car swing at Home Depot and just had to get it for Jack. Apparently the ropes taste great. Jack has developed a scowl. I am now trying not to scowl. Oops! He is walking more and more and explores the yard like Indian Jones. The dogs aren't much help in keeping him out of stuff. They just follow behind and watch quietly.
We had 2 days in a row of beautiful weather. I was able to plant a few flowers and play outside with Jack a lot. Can't wait until we have more sunshine. Hope life is treating all of you wonderfully.

Vacation Misery

Jack napping on Duke's dog bed.
Jack working his way off the dog bed.
Jack and Grandpa out for a stroll.
We were feeling a bit better by this time and needed some fresh air.
Jack and I went to Idaho over Easter. We left Ryan home working a key event and flew down the Thursday before Easter. That afternoon and evening were great Jack and I got to see my best friend Ashlie and celebrate her birthday with her. Friday was pretty low key as well. Friday night however, Jack got sick. Really sick. Wonder of all wonders by Sunday morning Dad and I were really sick also. The terror quickly escalated when Mom got sick Sunday night. I thought for sure we were all doomed when my mom was laid low, who was going to take care of us? But Dad, who at that time was the healthiest of us all, stepped in and took care of Jack allowing me and Mom to recoup faster. By Wednesday I was completely better and looking forward to flying home the next day.
Hope everyone had a much better Easter than we did. God bless.
